i. A navigational checkpoint [geographical point, fix, or a NAVAID (navigational aid)] used by aircraft as a marker for setting course.
ii. In amphibious operations, an air control point at the seaward end of the helicopter approaches lane system from which helicopter waves are dispatched along the selected helicopter approach lane to the initial point.
